PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide with the sequence Ac-Nle-c[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-OH, molecular formula C₅₀H₆₈N₁₄O₁₀, a molecular weight of approximately 1,025.18 Da, and CAS number 189691-06-3. PT-141 is a C-terminal hydrolysis derivative of Melanotan-2 and binds at MC3R and MC4R subtypes of the melanocortin receptor family in research models.
