KissPeptin-10 is a synthetic decapeptide (10 amino acids) with the sequence Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH₂, molecular formula C₆₃H₈₃N₁₇O₁₄, a molecular weight of approximately 1,302.45 Da, and CAS number 374675-21-5. KissPeptin-10 is the minimal C-terminal fragment of the full-length kisspeptin-54 (metastin, encoded by the KISS1 gene) that retains binding interactions at the kisspeptin receptor KISS1R (formerly GPR54), a Gq/11-coupled GPCR, in research models.

In laboratory research, KissPeptin-10 is utilized in reproductive-pathway studies including GnRH neuron depolarization and firing-rate experiments, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) pathway investigations, hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis research, calcium mobilization assays (Fluo-4, Fura-2), inositol phosphate (IP3) turnover measurements, and β-arrestin recruitment studies. Researchers also employ it in ex-vivo hypothalamic explant preparations.
