How you earn
Awarded when your order completes. Refunds reverse the points. Store credit works the same way in spirit: if you paid with store credit and the order is refunded, that portion comes back to your store-credit balance rather than to a card — store credit is never refunded as money.

First orderSpendable points expire 12 months from earning — your lifetime total, which sets your tier, never resets. We email you a reminder 14 days before any points lapse.
Four tiers — no demotions
Your tier is based on lifetime points earned (your lifetime total never resets). Tiers are promote-only — you are never demoted for inactivity. Every tier improves your earn rate and redemption rates — every member ships free from $75+ (storewide is $100+), and Principal Investigators ship free on every order, no minimum.

Every order of $100+ ships free storewide ($250+ ships free Priority). Loyalty members do better — free standard shipping from $75+ at every tier, shown as “Free shipping (loyalty perk)” at checkout. Separately, Shipping Protection is included free on every order and covers loss or damage in transit.

Worked example — $400 order, Senior Researcher
The same $400 order also ships FREE Priority — every order $250+ does — and at Principal Investigator it would earn 800 points. Each redemption is capped at 50% of the order it's applied to.
